A Single Mom Pauses for the Cause.

As a single mother, I take a moment to pause for the cause. The cause is the same, but the tasks change, daily.

This is the day to appreciate those people who took time to invest in you. Their invests give us strength to pass the positive energy to another in need.

Today, the following things occurred and because of your investment I was able to

  • Provide support and encouragement to someone who was recently diagnosed with a life threatening disease.
  • Homeschool my son through a rocks and minerals science project.
  • Comfort a friend whose child has been hospitalized for 2 weeks.
  • Make dinner for a friend who is an essential employee working through the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Comfort two friends who were layed off due to COVID-19 budget cuts.

The day ended in pure exhaustion and a deficit in my mental ability.

Please take a moment to thank those who believed in you, even when you didn’t believe in yourself. Pause for the cause and pay it forward!

Replenish, refuel and restore! Tell us who you’d like to thank for investing in you.

Singleness – Season for Sadness or Celebration

I am going to scream if I see another engagement ring!!

Have you ever had this thought? If yes, then you are struggling with being single, alone or without that special someone you can share the rest of your life with. You may think, “what’s wrong with me?” or “why is everyone getting married but me?” It is a slap in the face.

This is a normal feeling – a “short term” feeling.

Singleness is a gift from God. Embrace it! Enjoy it! Experience it!

Get up and get out! YOU are responsible for your own happiness. This is a chance to explore new things – join a social club, volunteer your time helping those in need, take a dance class, try a new recipe, or start journaling. The goal here is to turn your singleness into a season of celebration not sadness.

It is important to understand that this is your season (which is temporary). Seasons do change. Remember, singleness is a gift from God. Embrace it! Enjoy it! Experience it!

Enjoy your gift of Singleness!
