As we navigate through this amazing life as a single parent should we pray for the gift of discernment?
Understand that everything is not meant to be understood. Don’t overanalyze, simply be. Be the best parent you can and shower your child with what s/he deserves. And, that’s you!
Pray for the gift of discernment, but only in moderation.
I am going to scream if I see another engagement ring!!
Have you ever had this thought? If yes, then you are struggling with being single, alone or without that special someone you can share the rest of your life with. You may think, “what’s wrong with me?” or “why is everyone getting married but me?” It is a slap in the face.
This is a normal feeling – a “short term” feeling.
Singleness is a gift from God. Embrace it! Enjoy it! Experience it!
Get up and get out! YOU are responsible for your own happiness. This is a chance to explore new things – join a social club, volunteer your time helping those in need, take a dance class, try a new recipe, or start journaling. The goal here is to turn your singleness into a season of celebration not sadness.
It is important to understand that this is your season (which is temporary). Seasons do change. Remember, singleness is a gift from God. Embrace it! Enjoy it! Experience it!
