RING!!!! The alarm goes off and scares you to oblivion. You shove the clock to the other side of the night stand and it falls to the floor. At that moment, you realized it was going to be one of “those” days!
You overslept and are unable to satisfy the morning routine of meditation and prayer; there’s no time to blend the protein, vitamin packed smoothie and make lunches for the day.
The process of waking up the kids is a task, getting them dressed and searching for the tie to complete the school uniform seems endless. Finally, you manage to get everything done and it’s time to walk out of the door.
But wait! You hear a small voice. That voice says, “mommy, I need to use the bathroom.” As you lean against the wall attempting to hold it together, your heart sinks to the pit of your stomach. You drop everything – cell phone, smoothie cup, purse, laptop bag, and lunch. Nooooooo….
That is when you take a moment and TAPP it out!

Take a deep breath
Acknowledge the issue
Put things into perspective
Pray for strength and guidance
Parenthood is one of the most rewarding roles to have. However, we must be honest and recognize it can be one of the most exhausting. I encourage you to find something you enjoy doing to help maintain balance – read a good book, workout, start a blog, take a vacation or try a new class. Learning something new is a good way to boost one’s self confidence.

Share something new you have tried to help maintain balance in your life. I look forward to hearing your responses.
This is great!

Thank you! I appreciate your support. It’s so important to remind ourselves that we need to continuously make deposits in our own lives. It’s the only way we can be there for others. Take care!!

Thank you so much for your comment! For years, single parenthood has been viewed in a dark, negative light and I am here to change the perception. Single moms/mums must stick together!!!! Much love.
