Life

When life brings us joy, we laugh.

When life brings us pain, we cry.

When life brings us wealth, we spend.

When life brings us blessings, we give thanks.

When life shows us evil, we show it God.

When life seems overwhelming, we confide in a friend.

When life brings us brokenness, we struggle to put back the pieces back.

In life we are constantly moving, learning, and growing. We are growing to be the best versions of ourselves.  So, keep moving, keep growing, and keep learning. YOUR Life is YOUR responsibility so take charge and make this your best life yet!

Single Parents Feel the Impact of Rising Costs for Groceries, Gas and Housing 🥺

If two parent households are struggling to adjust to the rising costs of gas, groceries and housing then imagine the impact it has on one parent households. Single parents have grown accustom to making something out of nothing, but with the heavy impact of rising costs their income is being stretched to no end. Consequently, these single parents are forced to make the tough decisions such as whether to feed their child(ren) “healthy” meals or put gas in their vehicle. Unfortunately, lately, this and other cost cutting decisions have to be made by single parents, daily.

In my research, I found this article that discusses inflation to include continuous rising costs of necessities, and its impact on the American family; specifically, in a single parent home.

Noteworthy Nugget #84 – Feeling Lonely

Lonliness is a strange, hollow and empty feeling. As single parents, we have a tendency to have this feeling more than our married counterparts. Remember, just because one is lonely, does not mean they are alone.

To all my single parents and parents alike, here are a few things one can do to escape feelings of lonliness:

1. Stop and be thankful for all the positive things in one’s life.

2. Call a trusted friend to talk, giggle and laugh.

3. Journal, doodle, or start a blog.

4. Go for a walk and appreciate nature and all it has to offer.

5. Pamper yourself.

6. Go shopping.

7. Try a new recipe or bake.

8. Start writing a business plan.

9. Take a class and learn something new.

10. Go to dinner and watch a funny movie.

From one single parent to another, be great!
